DroneNation, Inc. ("DroneNation," "we," or "us") operates the DroneNation mobile device application ("DroneNation," the "App," or the "Service"). This document serves as DroneNation's Privacy Policy (the "Policy") for the App.

DroneNation makes the App available to individuals ("Users" or "you") for entertainment purposes. Users are authorized to communicate through the App and share information from the App with third parties. All activities engaged in through DroneNation are subject to this Policy. This Policy explains what information DroneNation collects about its Users, how DroneNation uses and/or shares this information, and how such information is maintained. By downloading and/or using the App, you accept the terms of this Policy.

This Policy applies only with respect to the information collected by DroneNation through the App, and not any information collected or obtained through other methods or sources. Please note that DroneNation may change this Policy at any time (See "Changes to this Policy," below), and that DroneNation may in the future use your information for additional purposes not currently included in this Policy. Please see Section 11, Changes to this Policy, below. In conjunction with this Privacy Policy, you should also review our Terms of Service for a more complete understanding of the rules governing DroneNation.

Collection of Personally Identifiable Information

Drone Nation collects User's personally-identifiable information ("PII") that is volunteered by Users. Examples of PII that may be requested and/or collected include but are not limited to: first and last name, Pilot Handle (aka username), address, email address, telephone number (iOS), company or business identity and information about the User's hobby experience and interests, as provided by the User. From time to time, Drone Nation may also present opportunities for Users to voluntarily provide additional information about themselves.

About the member
Name - we show this information in two places in the App. Your Name is viewable when a member uses the "Search by name" feature, where they are looking to find pilots using their real life name or their Pilot Handle (username). When a member attempts to type in the name to search field, it auto-fills with possible names which include both Pilot Handles (usernames) and real names. The other location where your name is viewable is found when viewing search results, alongside your Pilot Handle (username) and photo. We do not sell this information. We store this information on our server.

Username (Pilot Handle) - we show this information throughout the App alongside your photo as a form of identification, including Chat. We store this information on our server.

Email - we do not show this information in the App. We use this information to communicate with you, and to allow you to LogIn. We do not use this information for any form of marketing. We do not sell this information. We store this information on our server.

Password - this information is not visible to anyone, including us.

Device details - we do not show this information in the App. We use this information, including the make and model of your phone, and your Android OS version, to troubleshoot bugs and compatibility issues. We do not sell this information. We store this information on our server.

Address - We show your City and State on your Timeline and Skills pages so that other pilots can find you. We also use your address to view local community posts in your Timeline, and to see how your Props score compares with local members, and to provide a position to center your FlySite map so that you are able to view events proximal to your location, and to allow other members to view where you are flying at a specific time and place if you so choose, and to provide a location for an event you create and to provide a location for a custom flying or video site you create, and to allow you to see nearby FlySite and Locals Only Challenges . We do not use this information for any form of marketing. We do not sell this information. We store this information on our server.

Zip code - with your explicit permission we utilize geo-location functionality (Location Services) on your device to determine your zip code. This information is used to show other members where you fly, and to allow you to view community posts in your Timeline, to see how your score compares with local members, to provide a position to center your FlySite map so that you be able to view events proximal to your location, to allow other members to view where you are flying at a specific time and place if you so choose, to provide a location for an event you create and to provide a location for a custom flying or video site you create, to allow you to see FlySite and Locals Only Challenges nearby. We do not sell this information. We store this information on our server.

Location Services - If you turn your Location Services on your device, this allows you to view local community posts in your Timeline, to see how your score compares with local members, to provide a position to center your FlySite map so that you be able to view events proximal to your location, to allow other members to view where you are flying at a specific time and place if you so choose, to provide a location for an event you create and to provide a location for a custom flying or video site you create, and to see FlySite and Locals Only Challenges nearby. This service also provides the opportunity for you to choose "current location" where it can be found in the App to automatically fill in your current location using the devices GPS functionality. We do not use this information for any form of marketing. We do not sell this information. We store this information on our server.

Contacts (iOS only) - we request access to your contact list only when you tap "Invite using your contacts” to help you identify real life friends you may want to invite to join our App. We do not upload this information to our server, share it with any third party or use it for any form of marketing. We do not sell this information.

Phone (iOS only) - we do not show this information to other users in the App. We use this information to provide a method for account authentication. We do not share this information with any third party or use for any form of marketing. We do not sell this information. We store this information on our server.

Photos - we show this information throughout the App as a means of identification alongside your alias, and in two cases, when a member is attempting to search for someone by name, and when displaying search results, alongside your real name. We use this information in Chat as a form of identification. We do not use it for any form of marketing. We do not sell this information. We store this information on our server.

Video Streaming - we show this information on your Timeline. If you select "Private" when posting, only the friends you select will be able to view it. If you select "Public," then all community members may be able to view it. We do not use this information for any form of marketing. We store this information on our server.

Whenever you voluntarily disclose personal information on publicly-viewable screens or pages, that information will be publicly available and can be collected and used by others. For example, if you post your email address, you may receive unsolicited messages. We cannot control who reads your posts or what other Users may do with the information you voluntarily post, so we encourage you to exercise discretion and caution with respect to your personal information.

How to Delete My Account and Data

When you delete your account, we delete your personal data including first and last name, email, profile photo, username, city and state, device details, Facebook identifiers (if Sign In with Facebook was used) and Apple identifiers (if Sign in with Apple was used).

To delete your account, tap the hamburger icon located at the top left corner of the screen, go to Settings and then choose "Delete Account".

If you would like to delete things you’ve posted or uploaded, please send an email requesting this to support@dronenation.org, and this information will be removed within 14 days, and an email will be sent to you confirming that the data has been successfully removed.

Use and Sharing of PII

DroneNation will share your PII with other Users who are matched to you via an algorithm. These Users may then share your PII with third parties. YOUR USE OF THE DRONENATION APP SERVES AS YOUR ACKNOWLEDGEMENT AND APPROVAL OF THIS. IF YOU WANT TO ENSURE THAT YOUR PII IS NOT AVAILABLE TO OTHER USERS AND/OR THIRD PARTIES, YOU MUST DISCONTINUE USE OF THE APP.

Users' PII may also be used to: deliver and improve our products and services; manage our business; manage your account and provide you with customer support; perform research and analysis about your use of, or interest in, our or others' products, services, or content; communicate with you by email, postal mail, telephone and/or mobile devices about products or services develop, display, and track content and advertising tailored to your interests analyze data about our App (i.e., analytics); verify your eligibility to utilize our Service; enforce or exercise any rights in our Terms of Service; and perform functions or services as otherwise described to you at the time of collection.

PII collected by us may be added to our databases and used for future marketing purposes, including but not limited to email and direct marketing. We may also share your PII with third-party vendors that perform certain services on our behalf. These services may include fulfilling orders, providing customer service and marketing assistance, performing business and sales analysis, ad tracking and analytics, supporting our Service functionality, and supporting other features offered through our Service. These vendors may have access to personal information needed to perform their functions but are not permitted to share or use such information for any other purposes.

In addition, we may also disclose Users' PII in order to: (1) comply with applicable laws (including, without limitation, the CAN-SPAM Act); (2) respond to governmental inquiries; (3) comply with valid legal process; (4) protect the rights or property of DroneNation, including without limitation, filing copyright applications with the Library of Congress, Copyright Office, or (5) protect the health and personal safety of any individual.

By submitting your PII through the App, you agree that your PII may be used in any manner contemplated in this section.

We require an e-mail address from you when you register for our App. We use your e-mail for interactional (e.g., Notifications), transactional (e.g., trade) and promotional (e.g., newsletters, new product offerings, special discounts, event notifications) purposes. E-mail messages we send you may contain code that enables our database to track your usage of the e-mails, including whether the e-mail was opened and what links (if any) were clicked.

We encourage you to invite a friend to our App. We will keep this information in our database, and send that person an e-mail containing your name and inviting them to visit our App. This e-mail will also include instructions on how to remove their information from our database. You agree that you will not abuse this feature by entering names and addresses of those who would not be interested in services.

We send you push notifications if you choose to receive them for notifying you of community activity, letting you know when someone has sent you a message, or for other service-related matters. If you wish to opt-out from receiving these types of communications you may turn them off in the Settings section.

We will disclose your profile information to other members. Photos and other profile information posted by you will be available to all subscribers.

Notwithstanding any other provision of this privacy statement or our Terms and Conditions of Service, we reserve the right, but have no obligation, to disclose any information that you submit to the App, if in our sole opinion, we suspect or have reason to suspect, that the information involves a party who may be the victim of abuse in any form. Abuse may include, without limitation, elder abuse, child abuse, spousal abuse, neglect, or domestic violence. Information may be disclosed to authorities that we, in our sole discretion, deem appropriate to handle such disclosure. Appropriate authorities may include, without limitation, law enforcement agencies, child protection agencies, or court officials. You hereby acknowledge and agree that we are permitted to make such disclosure.

Some portions of your profile may be available to search engine crawlers and therefore may appear in internet search results. Because your submissions to the text fields sections of your profile may be publicly available, we strongly encourage you not to disclose information or contact information in such areas of your profile.

Third-Party Advertising

We may use third-party advertising agencies or other service providers to serve ads on our website on behalf of DroneNation.org or third-party advertisers (e.g., retailers of goods or services). These companies may employ cookies and web beacons to measure advertising effectiveness. Any information that these third parties collect via cookies and web beacons is completely anonymous. Some of these third-party advertising agencies may be members of the Network Advertising Initiative, which offers you the option to opt out of ad targeting from its member agencies by following the procedures listed here.

We will only share your information with third parties in the ways defined in this privacy statement.

How PII is Protected

We appreciate our Users and take your privacy seriously. Any PII that is stored on our computers is protected from unauthorized access and use via passwords as well as other standard industry-acknowledged means. Our servers which store this information are protected by a firewall. We take additional precautions for PII which is especially sensitive. We will only request or transmit this information over secure Internet connections using precautions such as Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption, security keys and password authentication from any third parties receiving this information. Finally, in the event that we may store especially sensitive PII information for more than a transitory period, this information will be maintained using precautions such as designated secure servers which limit access solely to individuals in departments.

Though we take the utmost precautions to protect your PII, please be informed that no data transmission over a cellular phone or the Internet, nor any storage of information on servers or other media, is ever 100% completely secure. While we aim to protect your PII to the greatest extent possible, this policy is not intended to be, and should not be construed as, a warranty or guarantee of absolute security of your PII.

As always, you should use common sense whenever you disclose personal information over the Internet or a cellular network, regardless of the applications or website(s) you use. If you suspect that your PII is being used in connection with the App in a manner contrary to this Privacy Policy, please let us know immediately. Non-Personally Identifiable Information

DroneNation also collects certain non-personally identifiable information, including but not limited to the information more fully described below.

Authentication Tokens. DroneNation may use authentication tokens on the App. Authentication tokens are small pieces of information that enable the App to more easily communicate and interact with the User. For example, DroneNation may place an authentication token on a User's mobile device when he or she initially registers with the App. The next time that User uses the App, DroneNation's server will recognize the authentication token (and the User) and allow the User to perform certain actions immediately without having to log in.

Mobile Device Identifiers. DroneNation may collect information about the mobile devices from which you access the App in order to ensure compliance with our policy of allowing only one email address per user, as described in our Terms of Service. We may collect and store the unique identifier assigned to your mobile device(s) by the manufacturer, or other identifying information about your device.

Other Data. All photographs, opinions, ideas, suggestions, other feedback, and all other information submitted by you through the App may be used by us without any restriction and free of charge.

We use mobile analytics software to allow us to better understand the functionality of our mobile software on your phone. This software may record information such as how often you use the application, the events that occur within the application, aggregated usage, performance data, and where the application was downloaded from.

Although the information collected through the foregoing methods does not itself contain any PII, DroneNation may analyze and match such information with other information that you provide (including PII) as well as information that DroneNation may obtain elsewhere, and DroneNation may share all or some of such information with actual or prospective distributors, dealers, or other third parties.

DroneNation may also disclose non-PII in order to (1) comply with applicable laws, (2) respond to governmental inquiries, or (3) comply with valid legal process, or (4) protect the rights or property of DroneNation or Users of the Site.

Demographic data is also collected at our site. We use this data to tailor our visitors' experience at our site, showing them content that we think they might be interested in, and displaying the content according to their preferences.

Access to Your Information

If you want to review, correct or change your User information, please submit your request in writing to SUPPORT@DRONENATION.COM.

Third Party Services

DroneNation's communications to you, as well as the App, may contain links to the websites or apps of other providers of products and services that may be of interest to you. When you click the link to one of these other entities, you will leave the App and be connected to the website or app of such entity. In such an event, this Policy will not apply to your use of, and activities on, those third-party websites or apps. DroneNation does not have any control over the information handling practices of these other entities, and you should familiarize yourself with the privacy policies of such other entities before you share any PII with them. We encourage you to read all other legal notices posted by these other entities as well. DroneNation shall have no responsibility or liability for your visitation to, and the data collection and use policies and practices of, these other entities.

Drone Nation uses third-party services to provide support for some of our app functionality, including, but not limited to, Chat, Facebook Log In, server crash analytics, email Notifications and communications and in-app user behavioral patterns. Note Concerning Individuals 18 Years of Age and Younger

The App and the content available in connection therewith are neither intended for, nor directed to, children under the age of 18. You must be at least 18 years old to have our permission to use our App and to provide your PII to DroneNation. If DroneNation learns that a User is under the age of 18, DroneNation will promptly terminate the User's account and delete the User's PII from DroneNation's records. DroneNation will not knowingly disclose or distribute such information to third parties.

Security

While DroneNation takes reasonable precautions to safeguard information transmitted between DroneNation and Users of the App, DroneNation may be unable to prevent unauthorized access to such information by third parties or inadvertent disclosure of such information. Users acknowledge this risk when communicating with DroneNation.

We have security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information stored in our database. These measures include the use of Secure Socket Layer (SSL) as well as other proprietary security measures which are applied to all repositories and transfers of user information. We will exercise reasonable care in providing secure transmission of information between your computer and our servers, but given that no information transmitted over the Internet can be guaranteed 100% secure, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information transmitted to us over the Internet and hence accept no liability for any unintentional disclosure.

Transfer in Certain Circumstances

In its sole discretion, DroneNation may transfer, sell or assign information collected on or about Users of the App, including without limitation, PII and other User-provided information, to one or more third parties as a result of the sale, merger, consolidation, change in control, transfer of substantial assets, reorganization or liquidation of DroneNation.

Internet

Any time you visit any of our website, our servers automatically gather information from your browser (such as your IP addresses, browser type, Internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks) to analyze trends, administer the site, prevent fraud, track visitor movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information. For example, we may log your IP address for system administration purposes. IP addresses are logged to track a user's session. This gives us an idea of which parts of our site users are visiting. We do not share the log files externally.

We may use "cookies" to keep track of some types of information while you are visiting our website or using our services. Cookies are very small files placed on your computer, and they allow us to count the number of visitors to our website and distinguish repeat visitors from new visitors. They also allow us to save user preferences and track user trends. We rely on cookies for the proper operation of our website; therefore if your browser is set to reject all cookies, the website will not function properly. Users who refuse cookies assume all responsibility for any resulting loss of functionality. "Web beacons" (also known as "clear gifs" and "pixel tags") are small transparent graphic images that are often used in conjunction with cookies in order to further personalize our website for our users and to collect a limited set of information about our visitors. We may also use web beacons in email communications in order to understand the behavior of our customers.

Changes to This Policy

DroneNation may, from time to time, amend this Policy, in whole or part, at its sole discretion. Any changes to this Policy will be effective immediately upon the posting of the revised policy to the App. By continuing to use the App following any changes, you will be deemed to have agreed to such changes.
